Missouri cannabis brands earn top honors at inaugural MJU MoCann Cup
Proper and Farmer G each earned three first-place awards at the inaugural MJU MoCann Cup, leading a field of Missouri cannabis brands recognized across flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, vapes, edibles, and beverages.
The competition’s October 15 awards ceremony was part of MJ Unpacked in Kansas City.

Developed through a partnership between MJ Unpacked and MoCannTrade and produced with Farechild Events, the Cup was open to products made by Missouri-licensed cultivators and manufacturers. Competition rules called for each product to be independently evaluated by at least three Level 2 Certified Ganjiers.
Proper collected two product category wins: Piescream for Indica Dominant Flower and Fruta Bomba Live Badder for Solvent Concentrate, along with the Best Fruit Terpene Profile Award for Piescream.

Farmer G earned abundant recognition in the flower category, taking both the Hybrid Flower award for PieScream, and runner-up in the same category for Piehead. The brand also claimed two Terpene Profile Awards: Best Earth for Magic Gumdrop and Best Floral for PieScream. It also received runner-up in both Indica Dominant Flower and Sativa Dominant Flower categories.

“We’re incredibly proud of the Farmer G team and the recognition we received at the MJU MoCann Cup. Having our flower evaluated by Certified Ganjiers and earning awards across multiple strains and categories is especially meaningful. It validates what our cultivation team works toward every day: producing exceptional, consistent cannabis that Missouri consumers can enjoy at an affordable price. These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Bob Pease, CEO of Agri-Genesis, parent company of Farmer G.
Sean Carriger, President, of Agri-Genesis echoed that sentiment saying, “We were honored to have a strong showing across the flower categories, especially with so many excellent entries from other growers. Earlier this year, we also won the Cannabis Cult Flower Championship, a blind, consumer-voted competition, so it’s rewarding to see both consumers and expert judges respond to our flower. We’ve focused on growing varieties with high terpene content, so it was exciting to win the profile awards in two of the four categories,” he continued. “We believe high terpene content is what makes our flower stand out and gives consumers the most enjoyable experience.”

VIBE and Urban Farm each earned two first-place awards. VIBE won for Honey Banana flower and Black Hole Sun solventless concentrate. Urban Farm took the Solventless Vape category with Ocean Fruit and the Best Fuel terpene profile award with Supa Durba.

The inaugural Cup introduced a competition that organizers designed to highlight Missouri products through evaluation by trained industry professionals.
MoCannTrade Executive Director Andrew Mullins previously described that distinction as central to the association’s involvement.

“This really is an industry-focused competition,” Mullins said. “You don’t have consumers involved. It’s peer-to-peer.”

Winners across product categories
Scout & Seed won the Regular Pre-Roll category with Melted Strawberries, while Bambino earned the Infused Pre-Roll award for its Big Perm Moonrock Infused Blunt Multipack.
Smokiez earned the top Beverage award for its Nano Infused Lemonades.

Dabstract won the Solvent Vape category with its Snowcaine Live Resin HTE All-in-One.
In edibles, Stash House brands and partners swept, with Crumble winning for its Snickerdoodle Toffee Cookie, and Joybombs Firebombs taking home both first and runner-up prizes respectively in the Non-Gummy Edible category, while iATRO took the Gummies category with Sleep, and Wana’s Peach Bellini named runner-up.

Chris Geisert of Stash House said the recognition reflected the work of employees across the company and its brand partners, “With four top spots in the edible competition, we could not be prouder of our staff and happy we could prove what we already knew: that we make some of the best edibles on the market,” he continued. “Behind every product is a team of people putting in the work, day in and day out. From the production staff, sales team and everyone else working behind the scenes, these wins belong to the entire Stash House MO family and our brand partners.”
