Smoke on the Water returns September 26 with an expanded festival experience at the Lake of the Ozarks

Greenway Magazine’s 2026 Best Cannabis Event of the Year returns with expanded brand experiences, industry networking and signature on-the-water activations

Following recognition as Greenway Magazine’s 2026 Best Cannabis Event of the Year, Smoke on the Water returns to Lazy Gators on Saturday, September 26, bringing together Missouri’s cannabis community for a full day of networking, entertainment and lake experiences.

Now in its fourth year, the event continues to evolve while staying true to the laid-back, on-the-water atmosphere that made it stand out from the start.

This year marks a partnership between Timeless and the cannabis agency, expanding the event footprint with more participating brands, immersive experiences and new ways for attendees to engage throughout the day in a more festival-style environment.

“We teamed up with The Cannabis Agency this year to make Smoke on the Water bigger and better than ever,” said Trenton “Dub” Warner of Timeless. “With their expertise and everything we’ve got planned, this is shaping up to be our best year yet.”

Already on board for this year’s event are returning sponsors and partners such as: Latitude Dispensary, VIBE, Illicit, and Flav, along with new additions including: Proper, Fernway, Amaze, Batch, and Bud & Mary’s. Additional participating brands and sponsors will be announced in the coming weeks.

Taking advantage of the venue’s waterfront setting, central location within Missouri and the event timeline, this year’s Industry Annex will provide a dedicated networking gathering from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The Annex creates an opportunity for cannabis professionals from across the industry — from company leadership to frontline teams — to connect in a relaxed lakeside environment before the public event begins.

Industry professionals who attend the Industry Annex will receive complimentary industry access to the full event.

Public doors open at 3 p.m. for an immersive festival-style experience featuring cannabis brand activations, DJs, professional wrestling, games, giveaways and VIP experiences. Rather than building the day around a single concert or attraction, this year’s format creates a more continuous flow of entertainment and experiences throughout the venue.

The lake itself remains a defining part of Smoke on the Water. Guests will have access to VIP boat tours of the lake as well as Latitude’s Tiki Boat transportation to Smoke Island.

Smoke Island returns as the event’s signature on-the-water destination, extending the experience beyond the shoreline and creating a cannabis experience unique to Smoke on the Water.

“We’re excited to be part of something that has already grown into one of the industry’s most anticipated events,” said Doug Hall of the cannabis agency. “Expanding opportunities for more brands to participate and creating a stronger experience for attendees was a natural next step.”

Rather than centering around a single attraction, Smoke on the Water is designed as a continuous experience, encouraging guests to explore the property, discover participating brands and move between entertainment, hospitality and on-the-water experiences throughout the day.
